Enriching and Managing Presentations
Add slides
Users can easily add or update slides to an existing presentation by:
- Uploading additional PowerPoints, documents, video clips or photos
- Replacing/swapping out existing slides
- Including live web pages in a presentation (URL slides)
Add attachments
Users can also upload and attach any number of files or documents (in any format up to 100MB per upload) that viewers can access alongside the presentation and download to their desktop – such as a PowerPoint file, a related document or data sheet, a corresponding spreadsheet, etc.
Add questions
Brainshark Presentations also provides the ability to insert interactive “question slides” into any presentation, including polls, surveys and/or examination questions. Adding interactivity to video presentations is a powerful way to connect with the audience at the moment they're interested. For marketers and salespeople, interactive questions such as polls and surveys offer a way to gather feedback and validate interest. For trainers, examination questions can be used to measure comprehension or certify students.
Question types available with Brainshark Presentations include:

Additional question features include the ability to randomize the order that questions appear in a presentation, set the number of attempts allowed per question, and include branching logic to direct viewers based on their answers. And with examination questions, authors can assign point values/scores per question, randomize the answers to a question, and customize text-based feedback per answer (e.g. “correct,” “incorrect, try again”).
Merge, customize and personalize content
Users can further enrich their presentations by leveraging and re-purposing existing content by:
- Copying and merging audio, visuals and/or attachments between presentations they have access to
- Customizing slides, settings or options of presentations to meet the needs of different audiences
- Personalizing others’ presentations by adding or substituting their own opening or closing slides. Up to twenty personalized slides may be added to the front or back of a presentation.
Guest Authoring
Guest Authoring™ is another powerful way to enrich a Brainshark presentation. This feature allows users to send a pre-formatted email to an outside expert or presenter (such as a senior executive, customer or voiceover professional), who receives a unique URL to a page that provides simple instructions for adding their voice and/or slides to the presentation…at their convenience. Following the same patented approach as a Brainshark user, the guest author will be prompted to dial a phone number or activate their microphone, and then will be guided through the process. Guest authors can easily review and re-record any portion until satisfied. The Brainshark user will be instantly notified once the presentation is ready.
