Viewing Presentations
All video presentations created using Brainshark Presentations™ are hosted by Brainshark, so they can then be accessed by your audiences any time, on-demand from desktop or mobile devices.
Mobile viewing
Mobile viewers on devices such as iPhones, iPads, Blackberries, Palm Pres, Android phones and Android tablets can view Brainshark presentations as videos streamed straight to the device. Users of Android phones and tablets as well as iPhone and iPad users may also download the Brainshark iPhone/iPad App and the Brainshark App for Android devices for an enhanced mobile viewing experience, with features like a table of contents with slide thumbnails, sharing options, content search and browsing, and more.
Online viewing
When online viewers click to watch a Brainshark presentation, they use Brainshark’s Flash-based player (viewer console) for an ideal web-based viewing experience. They can navigate through the slides using the table of contents and the intuitive player controls. The player can also be branded with the customer’s logo and display the author/presenter photo, title and biographical information. The player controls and table of contents will also display in any one of the 16 different languages supported based on the viewer’s browser settings.
Conditional Viewing
Sometimes you’ll want to create different versions of presentations that are formatted to play on specific devices (desktop, smartphone, tablet), or in multiple languages. Brainshark’s “conditional redirects” feature enables a single hyperlink to direct viewers to the version of the presentation that is specifically formatted for their device and/or language for optimal impact.
Additional viewing features
Additional viewer features that can be enabled (if desired) include the ability for viewers to:
- Access a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ’s)
- View author’s speaker/slide notes
- Grab the presentation embed code
- Email a question to the author
- Forward the presentation to others
- “Resume” where they last left off
- Print the slides
- Skip around the presentation or follow prescribed order
- Access their personal history of recently viewed Brainshark presentations
- Choose 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios for viewers to see your presentation
Instant messaging (IM) integration
Another option for viewers, if enabled, is the ability to initiate a real-time chat session with the author. Brainshark Presentations has built-in capabilities to integrate with leading IM (instant messaging) and presence applications such as LivePerson, AOL Instant Messenger and any other SIP-compliant solution.
Completion criteria
For eLearning content, Brainshark Presentations also supports the use of “completion criteria.” Authors can designate a minimum score (based on exam questions), percentage of slides viewed and/or percentage of audio played for a student or viewer to complete the course. The author can even enable viewers to download a Certificate of Completion upon meeting the completion criteria.
